Szentendre sightseeing, Friday, 26 August
UNFORTUNATELY THIS TOUR IS CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST.
9 am departure from UCC, duration approx. 6 hours
Szentendre, the most picturesque little town along the Hungarian stretch of the Danube, and home to sculptors and painters, is not likely to forget it. The town is a charming monument to the XVIIIth century, with its undulating cobbled streets and unexpected alleyways, and if it exudes something of a Mediterranean atmosphere then that's probably thanks to the Serbs, Dalmatians and Greek who settled here from the XIVth century onwards.
The tour includes a visit to Szentendre itself. After the guided tour in the city, you will visit the Kovács Margit Ceramic Museum, an unique place that exhibits the work of a very special Hungarian artist, who created her own style by combining modern art forms with the traditions of Hungarian folk art. You will also visit Hungary’s biggest outdoor Ethnographic Museum (Skanzen). The architecture of almost every region of the country is represented in this collection of more than 300 buildings.
Price of the tour: 60 Euro / person incl. entrance fees and light lunch.
This tour is not included in any of the registration fees.

Please note: a minimum of 15 participants is required for all tours. Details are subject to change with or without notice.
